What to expect during your Newborn Portrait Session

K Jay Photos, photographer in Madison, WI, specializes in newborn portraits. Photography that is creative, capturing the unconditional love a family has when a newborn baby is added to the family… simply priceless.

We ask you to bring with any personal items that have sentimental value to your family or newborn. If you do not have anything specific, no worries, we offer several baby props, newborn hats and cozy blankets to choose from. We photograph your newborn in a very warm setting so please come with short sleeve shirts, your little newborn loves the temperatures but often it can be a bit much for parents. Once you arrive we have you feed your little one with hopes to get the baby completely relaxed and ready to place into a comfortable, clean environment for the beginning of their portrait session. We usually save family portraits, if desired, for the end of the session so that if the baby becomes fussy he/she will be in one of the parents arms.

When do you get your newborn online proofs? Usually within a few days! We will touch up your favorite six photos from your family portrait session which includes softening wrinkles, whitening teeth, removing blemishes, etc. You can then download all of the photos we take, touched up and non-touched up to save on a CD to treasure years from now.
