More tips on looking your best. What to Wear for your Senior Pictures. K Jay Photos Photography, Madison WI Photographer
We have made it as easy as possible by partnering with both the Buckle and Francesca’s in West Towne Mall who can help pick out clothing for your high school senior portraits. Once you reserve your session with K Jay Photos you will receive a Welcome Packet with more information about their special services for K Jay Photos customers.
Some additional tips to mention include:
Even if your arms are in shape and toned, it is more flattering to wear sleeves and offers a timeless finished look. Tank tops should be worn underneath for girls. If you really have your heart set on wearing a tank or spaghetti strap top, consider layering it with another piece of clothing (vest, scarf, or chunky necklace). Love the way it looks on you and bring along a cute jacket or sweater to go over it for an added optional look. Avoid large logos or words on shirts which can be very distracting and make sure to include a top or two that your parents or grandparents love you in. It is so important that your clothes fit you properly and are flattering on you is key to senior pictures that you will love:)
Fitted pants that fit you properly and are not to low can give you a slim looking waistline and consider a looser fitted long top to go with those lower waited jeans. The smallest details can make the biggest difference.
Layering clothing and accessories is a fun way to add texture and dimension to your senior pictures. It is not necessary to go out and purchase all new outfits for your senior pictures so incorporate some of what you already have. For example, mixing a great pair of jeans and cute teal t-shirt that you already own with a new adorable necklace, fun vest and cute high heels. I love Pinterest also and their clothing ideas. You can see some samples here that I have pinned.
Most important advise is to be you. Let your clothing showcase your style. Colors that make your eyes pop and your skin tone glow. Blondes look great in black top making their hair highlight stand out but if you love the color white, by all means bring a white top instead.
I found this online and thought I would share as so often I am asked what should we wear in our family portraits. Even thought same colors can be nice, it is not necessary that everyone wear white shirts and blue jeans. Here are some examples I thought I would share to help families color coordinate for their family portraits.
